Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about trenchless pipe relining, drain repairs, costs, and warranties in Perth.

What is pipe relining?

Pipe relining is a trenchless "no-dig" method of repairing damaged, cracked, or root-invaded underground pipes. We insert a flexible felt sleeve saturated with epoxy resin into the existing pipe, inflate it using an internal bladder, and allow the resin to cure. Once cured, the bladder is removed, leaving a new, rock-solid, seamless structural pipe inside the old one.

How long does pipe relining last?

Our European resin systems are engineered and tested to have an operational lifespan exceeding 50 years. We back our workmanship and materials with a 25-year structural warranty, giving you complete long-term peace of mind.

Is relining cheaper than traditional excavation?

While the upfront service fee for the specialized relining equipment and resin is comparable to standard digging, relining is almost always significantly cheaper overall. Traditional replacement requires digging up driveways, lawns, tiles, or retaining walls, which incurs massive reconstruction and landscaping fees. Relining avoids all remediation costs.

Can all types of pipes be relined?

Most common pipe materials can be relined, including clay (earthenware), PVC, cast iron, concrete, and copper. The pipe must be structurally intact enough to act as a mold for the liner. If a section has completely collapsed or flat-lined, we may need to perform a small, localized excavation before relining the rest of the line.

Do you need to dig up my garden?

No. We access the pipeline using existing entry points, such as boundary shafts, inspection points (grates), or overflow relief gulleys (ORGs). In rare cases where no access points exist, we might dig a single, small access hole (less than 1 square meter), but we never dig trenches across your property.

How long does the installation take?

Most residential relining projects take less than one day. We arrive in the morning, clean and prep the pipe, insert and cure the liner, and conduct the final CCTV inspection by mid-to-late afternoon. Your plumbing services are typically offline for only 3 to 5 hours during the process.

Is pipe relining covered by insurance?

In many cases, building insurance policies cover "accidental damage" or sewer blockages, but exclusions apply to wear-and-tear or gradual tree root invasion. However, we provide complete CCTV footage reports, structural diagnostic reporting, and detailed quotes that you can submit directly to your insurance provider for assessment.

What diameter pipes can be relined?

We can reline pipe diameters ranging from 40mm (small copper or PVC lines) up to 300mm (large stormwater mains and commercial sewers). Our flexible liners can also navigate 45 and 90-degree bends without wrinkling or reducing pipe diameter.
